Review Day Tuesday- The Musicians' Turn

Next week will be a very special Review Day Tuesday. But since this site is about music as well as books, I want to review a musician today:

Per-Olov Kindgren is a classical guitarist, and it is for this reason that I found him. He produces beautiful arrangements of existing pieces, as well as creating his own amazing compositions.

The first arrangement I ever found was Pachelbel's Canon:

To be honest, it was Mr. Kindgren that made we want to play classical guitar. I'd always played general guitar with a bit of fingerstyle music, but when it came to my first performance, that kind of music just didn't cut it. I heard this arrangement of Pachelbel's Canon, and was mesmerised. I performed it a couple of weeks later, and received an amazing reception. Because of that moment, I chose to focus on Classical guitar.

Since then I have bought so many of his amazing musicians pieces. If you're not a classical guitarist, it doesn't matter. CDs and recordings are available as well, and I'd be amazed by anyone who could listen to them without being moved.

Per-Olov Kindgren understands the guitar so amazingly well. He knows how to make it talk, and to express so many different colours. I have spent an obscene amount of time and money exploring and buying his music.

My personal favourite is 'Northern Lights':

If you adore beautiful music, take a look here.

  1. I, too, have be smitten by his hauntingly beautiful music. I have already purchased enough music from his site to make up some loose leaf books. Practice them every day too.
